Welcome to Alchemy of Avalon: a magical and medicinal apothecary where tea, herbal remedies, essential oils and perfumes are hand-blended to support any and all healing journeys.

My purpose is to create an “Avalon” for modern times - more than just an online shop, Alchemy of Avalon is a community that supports accessible healing wisdom, both old and new, including Herbalism, Aromatherapy, Music and Dance, Divination and Ritual. Here you will find a variety of tea blends, herbal remedies, perfumes, essential oil blends and more - inspired by the legends of Avalon, gods and goddesses, witchcraft, literature, and nerd culture, to name a few! My hope is that all my clients feel transported to that mythical sacred isle, that teacup becomes grail, that fragrance becomes spellcraft.

About shop owner Suzanne O’Gara:

Suzanne is a Certified Herbalist who studied under Joann Sanchez at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, AZ. Since launching Alchemy of Avalon over a decade ago, her teas and perfumes have appeared at various events and markets, and have been sold at several shops and restaurants around the greater Phoenix area, until Suzanne’s relocation to Western Massachusetts in the summer of 2020.

In August of 2021, Alchemy of Avalon finally opened its doors in downtown Greenfield, MA, at 10 Miles Street, across from Mesa Verde!

Constantly dreaming about running away to Glastonbury, Ireland, and just about any ancient sacred sites, Suzanne is an active member of the Sisterhood of Avalon, and practices her very “tea-and-potions-and-bellydance” form of witchcraft, both alone and with her husband and children. Suzanne also proudly serves as the Herbcraft Professor for Rockstar Priestess’ online course, “Morgan LeFay Mystery School”, under the direction of Demelza Fox.
