Jiaogulan, aka Gynostemma pentaphyllum - known as “the herb of immortality”, is an earthy-sweet herb that's full-bodied enough to almost be mistaken for a green tea.

Practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Herbalism in general consider Jiaogulan to be an "Adaptogen" - that means it's a tonic herb that is generally beneficial and can be taken on a regular basis for a longer period of time, but also helps us cope with stress as it has an affinity for the adrenals, inhibiting excessive release of cortisol and adrenaline.

There's no caffeine in Jiaogulan, but working with it may help you feel more sustained energy throughout the day - and may help with sleep, too.
